About This Project

Ficks is an exciting new open air restaurant located at one of Hermanus’ favourite tidal pools named Fick’s Pool. The restaurant owners’ main aim in creating Ficks was to retain as much of the existing natural environment as possible and work around the various platforms of the tidal pool area.

The principles of ‘sense of place, history and the environment’ guided them in creating a restaurant space that is one of a kind and a very special place to take in the beauty of Walker Bay.
