HOUSE GIBBY

VOELKLIP | HERMANUS | 2016

About This Project

The brief for the House Gibby kitchen renovation was to create a light french inspired design, without removing too much of the existing structure and re-using the existing carcass of the kitchen cupboards where possible. The layout of the scullery and laundry area was designed in such a way that one can hide washing machines and laundry items away in floor to ceiling sliding cupboards.

To brighten up and modernize the look the bulkheads in the kitchen and scullery design included recessed strip lighting detail. A dedicated coffee station was also included as the family loves to have a coffee at the kitchen counter in the mornings with breakfast.
